As the world continues to grapple with issues of accessibility and inclusion, Disability Pride Month serves as a crucial time to focus on the unique needs of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing community. Despite significant progress in some areas, many challenges remain, particularly in policy development, government support and the visibility of disability support networks.
In this series, we explore three key issues related to improving accessibility and inclusion for people with disabilities. Our aim is to highlight the most pressing needs, examine the role of governments in supporting disability rights, and identify strategies to raise the visibility of support networks during Disability Pride Month.
